St. Simon's Orthodox Church
Ironwood,  Michigan

In the heart of the U.P.'s "Big Snow" country,  this historical Church, originally built by both Lebanese and Greek immigrants in 1914, is now attended by many ethnic descendants  -  Lebanese,  Serbian, Polish,  Greek,  Romanian,  Russian,  as well as, American converts.  Services are also attended by some area Roman Catholics seeking the fullness of the ancient Christian Liturgy.  The original icons, a gift from St. Tikhon,  the first Bishop in America, still adorn the walls as do more modern,  Byzantine icons.

St. Mary's Dormition Church
Iron Mountain,  Michigan

St. Mary's is the sister Church to St. Simon's, also founded by Lebanese immigrants in the early 1900's.   Church attendance is now diversified and includes many American converts.  There are worship services every weekend and throughout the week.  All feast days are celebrated.
